About a month ago I posted here, that I had a problem with VDMSound. My games crashed right after I launched them.

Back then I was convinced that the problem was DX9 and after I formatted my comp I thought the problem was solved since VDMSound worked a little while after.
But then I installed most of the progs I had before I formatted my hd and then we had the same problem again.

Based on this I concluded that it must have been driver/program that made the problem.

Then I uinstalled TVtool 6.8 (http://tvtool.info/index_e.htm)
and after a reboot it worked just fine.
After this I uinstalled Tvtool on my little bros comp, and the same thing happened here... it worked!

Can anyone else confirm this problem and if so, do anyone have a solution? (except from uninstalling TVtool 😉

my system specs:
AMD XP1700+
256mb pc2100 ddr ram
Geforce4800SE
WinXP + SP1 + DX9

A thought:

When TVTool is installed, do the following:

- right-click on your Windows folder (e.g. C:\WINNT)
- choose "Find" or "search"
- choose to find files named "*.sys" and that contain the following string:

Ke386

- optionally, repeat the step above, this time looking for the string:

SetTSSLimit

Does it find any files? (Thanks to Vlad on this one)

I guess not!

Doesn't DosFreak use this? He has had no problems mentioned...
