Yup, I can technically say it's pretty much gone. Replaced even the 100uF 16v small TEAPOs with polymers off an ASUS P5QL Pro, as well as the Y2 crystal quartz near the CPU. No beeps or even a form of POST.

I got 7 PCs Tuesday, and by far nothing interesting... apart from a FlexATX-sized ECS P6STP-FL with... a VIA C3 800A.
Rest of the haul was a whole lotta AGP cards (MX440s, a 4000, S3 Savage4, FX5500, 5200 and I think a 9250), 2x Genius CMI8738 PCI cards, 3x Seagate Constellation ES 500GB SAS drives (ain't too retro but hey, I love me some SATA SCSI.), and a SB Live 5.1 Digital SB0220 (neat... I don't think I've seen a 5.1 Digital.)

Anyone got any idea what performance am I to expect from a Ezra C3 800A? This is a whole new territory to me.

Nice haul! Mostly beige boxes too, so there could be some interesting 90s hardware in them.

Also, the ASUS card in that uncovered desktop looks like an ASUS v2740tv, which is an Intel i740 AGP card. I haven't seen one of those myself. Neat looking card. 😀

Sir you got an eagle eye! Yes its an ASUS v2740TV and it was my biggest disappointment, I was hoping it will be V6600 or V3200. There is no VGA cards worth mention,
found 1 AMD DX4-100 and few SLOT 1 machines. Also found ATI AIW 128 PRO AGP. I will disassemble 1 machine every day, and I'm already few days ahead 🤣

Ezra C3 800A? Should be somewhere in P III 450 territory, I would think.
Normally the biggest advantage of the VIA CPUs is the ability to have easy options to slow them down for older games.
Also they don't pull as much power so they are easier to cool and to keep a system quiet.
Just be aware that many older socket 370 boards don't know them and would either not work with them or not use their full capabilities.
Sometimes this can be remedied with a bios update.

I had an mITX Ezra 800MHz board and in my experience a 450MHz P3 is actually significantly faster than the Ezra 800 in everything but simple integer math. Ezra 800 is about as slow as a PII-333 in Quake for example - its FPU is exceptionally slow. Overall, I'd say it is probably around a PII350-400 around speeds..

Can I use AGP 4x/8x VGA in that AGP pro slot?

Yes. AGP Pro is based off AGP4x. That's how I managed to run a HD3450 on a ASUS CUSL2.

Ooops, I probably mixed the C3 Ezra with the C7 Nehemiah. I remembered benchmarks, where the C7 at 1.000 MHz was running approx. like a P III 600 and just interpolated from there.
But the C7 is an improved version of the C3 and therefore not directly comparable.
BTW, a C3 Samuel II 533 performs in the range of a Pentium 233MMX or Pentium II 233.

I'm planning a cooler chain transplant.
The XFX 8800GTX in the top left corner does not work. The 8800GTX with the zalman works but will receive the XFX cooler. The zalman should be compatible with the Quadro Fx1000 and should (hopefully) allow me to mod it into a GeForce FX5800 Ultra (memory is rated for ultra freqs and i will add the small dissipators from the box next to it).

Below are 4 cards i received recently too
A Voodoo Rush (with the less common Macronix 2d chip). A 6MB Voodoo 1. A regular Voodoo 1. An S3 Virge.

Unfortunately the regular Voodoo 1 does not work and the Rush only works in 2d. There are missing SMDs that i replaced but nothing changed.

The 6MB Voodoo and the Virge works ok.

Just bought this for lesss than half the original Best Buy sticker price, out of a storage unit. 😁 Took it home and tested it fully functional with all the accessories except just one of the games!
Pretty crazy the box and everything was in brand new shape! My first voodoo card!
