Hi everyone. I'm trying to extract the SOL audio files from Sierra's King's Quest 7, but had no success so far. I'm aware there are tools like the SCI Resource Viewer. However, in the GUI version I can see and playback all the files, even extract files one by one, but I would have to do this all manual with every single file, so this is not an option. I haven't managed to use the command line tools for my intended purpose; it appears to me that they are meant for anything else but audio.

Does anyone here have an idea on what I could try for extracting all the files with their respective original file names by using just one command?

Or maybe I'm using the tools wrongly?

If you're lucky something like 7zip will open it and just dump it out

I built:
Convert old ASUS ASC boardviews to KICAD PCB!

Dos+Windows 3.11+tcp+vbe_svga auto-install iso template
Script to backup Win9x\ME drivers from a working install

Unfortunately no. It does not work with 7zip.

If I use the resource.exe or the audio.exe from the SCI Resource Viewer, I get the following:
resource.exe resource.audio
"*.map must be loaded before opening resource.aud. You may want to copy
*.map into the current directory or use -i option to specify its
location."
(although resource.map is in the same directory)

audio.exe resource.aud
"Error processing resource.aud."
