What are your drivers? Later nVidia ForceWares are known to sabotage everything on Win9x

I would say it is more like lack of QA with later ForceWare drivers for Windows 9x than sabotage but yeah, use an old nVidia Detonator driver. Anything below (and maybe including) 45.23 are OK.

I use a version of the nVidia driver released before 45.23, which does not even have the nView thing bundled... I never installed 89.98, cause this one is such a terrible piece of crap on 9x.

I run this game on a 7950gt with the unofficial 82.69 drivers and the XP patch for this game takes care of 99% of the graphical glitches. You can toggle a graphical setting while in game to see if the patch will work. I can't remember if it's Textured sky or vehicle shadows, But you have to be in game to do it.

I have a much older card, maybe this version will slow my 98PC ? I'm gonna try the XP patch as well, I completely forgot the existence of this patch xD Hopefully that will fix my issues...

I wouldn't switch drivers because all GeForces have this issue regardless of driver. I was just commenting that even with the latest drivers that patch will work, I only use that driver because that's the only one that works with a 7950gt

I've tried the patch without switching drivers, and it works ! Thank you so much! Now I can play with my physical copy of the game on Windows 98!

How did you run it?, I applied the same patch but it adds a new midtown madnnes 2 exe on the games files but when i tried to run run the game now is asking me for a cd, if i use the crack exe for the nocd fix cd it runs the game but it does not applies the patch, how did you make it work?

Im using Windows 98se, Pentium 4 3.0 ghz and nvidia fx 5900 xt

Can't you just use Daemon tools to mount the image.

I did, but still when I try to open the game it keeps asking me for a cd, inside the iso of my copy of the game is a file that has the "crack file exe that fix no cd issue" but it replaces the midtownmadness2.exe that lets say has the windows xp patch sfter i install it, so when I open the game it does not applies the patch file. I dont know maybe Im doing something wrong.

Hi, I had to run it with the CD inside the drive (I had the boxed copy).

Although your case could be entirely different, on a modern machine, I could fix it using a "Windows XP patch" for this game, which probably changes the way textures are rendered

So called "abandonware" isn't supported here. If the thread continues on support of this it will be closed.
