I see you still haven't got rid of those Sanyo CG capacitors. These are not even low ESR actually.

a capacitor upgrade would be a nice addition to this motherboard. Low priority atm.
Next time I build it, I may do this. It is currently in my motherboard storage.

I wonder if a interposer is possible to upgrade the legged footprint to a bga mount

Yeah it is possible but not easy to solder on board. I made it 2 years ago for LPC546xx MCU by NXP because of chip shortage on global market. I designed a board with TQFP package but then only BGA left available when time come to components ordering. Because I need to continue with FW development I designed a small 4-layer interposer that has BGA footprint on top side and TQFP counter pads on bottom side. I 1st needed to put solder on interposer pads and the board pads, properly align it and reflow with hot air. Then I measured if all TQFP pads are connected properly to BGA pads and use hotair again to solder on the BGA chip. It was a lot of fun 😀 I belive the same would be possible.also for bigger chips...

Sorry vogons takes forever to upload images from my phone and often errors out so I try to make them zoomed in as possible to get them to upload easier

I recalled previous experience with these via chipsets how much of a difference single sided and double sided made from a speed and stability perspective.

I did manage to find a set of 256mb x 3 sticks that gave 768mb stable that I was running for a few weeks now. But just decided to try 1 x 128mb single sided and 2 x 128mb single sided as a test.

So far 256mb 2x128 single sided has been the fastest. About to try 384mb

I will sometimes use LitPhoto to resize my photos when uploading and it works very well. It can also do bulk operations on many files at a time, as well as the option to delete the original.

I’m trying to recall if I made a cheat sheet for dip settings earlier in thread. Is there a 105 fsb option?

By the way, I have two geforce 3 ti 500s at my disposal but can’t seem to get them to work in 3d on one, seems to be a driver issue. And the other won’t post on this board

Do you have the memory interleave driver installed?

Try older driver version, maybe that you tried use 686 instructions (CMOV...)

I'm surprised that this motherboard doesn't have the option to enable memory interleave in the CMOS settings. I can confirm that the Breese patch works - I tested it with Windows 98 on my Epox board, which does have the option to enable it in the CMOS settings. With it disabled in CMOS, using the patch gave me the same small boost in memory bandwidth as having it enabled did without the patch.

After watching many YouTube videos about older computer hardware, YouTube began recommending videos about trains - are they trying to tell me something?

Can someone modbin or something this freeway ultra bios to add the option?

Maybe. I used Modbin to see if I could enable bank interleave on my Soyo 5EMA+, but it wasn't hidden, it wasn't there at all (and BIOS modding beyond that is above my pay grade). So I used the Breese patch on that board.

This TI5VGF board is made by TMC, but is also marketed by Freeway, a Japanese Company.
I have good reports about the Ver. 1.00 board, running a K6-2+/500 at stock speed without problems.

The standard TI5VGF board came with 1MB cache, but there were boards with an optional 2MB cache. I believe the extra 1MB cache was soldered at the back side of the board!??

About the BIOS, note that the E2, E3, E4, and E5 BIOS revisions don’t support the K6plus CPUs.
However, Freeway made a rev. H7 beta BIOS that fully supports the K6-2+/-III+ and HDDs up to 128GB!
You can download this –H7- BIOS from my K6plus page at:
http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/J.Steunebrink/k6plus.htm

When flashing the –H7- BIOS, you may get the "The program file's part number does not match with your system" message. This is caused by the difference in BIOS-ID with your present BIOS. The Ti5vgfe2/3/4/5 BIOSes have a 2A5LEM2LC ID and the Ti5vgfh7 beta BIOS has 2A5LEM2PC. This one letter difference triggers this message.
Just force the flash with /py switch like:
Awdflash TI5VGFH7.BIN /Py

Hello,

Does anybody know how to configurate jumpers in that motherboard for 100x5.5=550MHZ for a K6-III+/550. It's the manual jumper setting for a maximum of 500MHz?.
