Hey folks, I've been working on a project to document support for 3D spatial audio, surround sound and extensions like EAX as well as demos and more info like guides on how to emulate them on modern hardware/systems using software like Creative ALchemy, DSOAL, OpenAL Soft, etc., so I figured some here might find it useful: https://airtable.com/shrtTsUtiAJQ7wFGI

This view (of the same database) is a lot more user-friendly with easier search function, though it requires a (free) account: https://airtable.com/invite/l?inviteId=invlbn … 2689098631d7e7b

Anyone can add more games using this form: https://airtable.com/shrDpNmekxxwpAyQ1

There's also software, HRTF, headphones and soundcard databases.

This is a work in progress so if there's any outdated/incomplete/incorrect/missing info, feel free to let me know here or you can join our Discord server here: https://discord.gg/RhRMbmQ
And for a more general breakdown of 3D audio, check out https://binaural-audio.slite.page/p/i38zsD772 … /Binaural-Audio

For your project documenting 3D spatial audio, surround sound, and EAX emulation, I'd suggest setting up your database in a more user-friendly way to make it easier for people to find the information they need. One way to do this is by creating clear categories and using tags effectively. Tools like Creative ALchemy, DSOAL, and OpenAL Soft can be listed under their respective categories, and you can include guides and demos as subcategories.

do you mean something like this? https://airtable.com/shrqognt6657fDCIT
That's handy if you want general info on the software/plugins, but the thing is that many games require specific tweaks so it's better to just start by searching for the game, and it'll show dynamically-generated, game-specific instructions for the best known configuration, along with demos (if any) and other details.
Also, the guides on the specific software pages might be confusing because they have generic variables/keywords that get replaced in each game-specific guide.
But that said, I can set up different types of independent views of the same database with custom groups/sorts/filters if you have a more specific idea in mind.
If you join our Discord server there's a bunch more views that I didn't post here to avoid getting flagged as spam with so many links 🤣 https://discord.gg/B4n97X7dG4
