I'm getting the following error after opening a city screen in Masters of Magic:

Exit to error: CacheBlock overrun 2 written 4941 size 4240

I can give you info about the dosbox configuration, but in brief I've got the following:

  • AMD64 Mythbuntu build
    dosbox 0.71

    fullresolution=1360 x 768
    output=opengl
    core=dynamic
    cycles=auto

Any ideas about troubleshooting this? I saw a post about higher resolutions not being supported, so I might give that a try. I think it probably won't fix the problem though.

if it is possible try to get a hold of 0.72 It has several fixes and I think it has some improvements for the cache handling as well. (problem is that the generated opcodes for 64 bit mode are in general longer then for the 32 bit mode. so the caches are stressed a lot more in 64 bit mode)

I saw that there were some enhancements for 64-bit in 0.72, but I'm running the latest version for my distro. I see that 0.72 is in the next version of Ubuntu. Anyway, yeah, I'll try 0.72. Anyone know of a binary for amd64 out there, or will I need to compile my own? I'm trying to stay within the package management system as much as possible. Thanks.

I don't know. I'm just trying to find a single configuration that works for all apps. So far, I haven't had any issues that I know of with a dynamic core.
