Hi there, I recently picked up a Vaio Picturebook PCG-C1X and now I would like to restore it to its original software. I was able to find the .iso images of recovery CDs online, however I don't have any PCMCIA CD drives, and the ones I found online are quite expensive. I tried extracting the contents of .iso files to the industrial CF card I use as the hard drive, copying DOS and extracting the recovery image manually on the machine, but it throws me an error at around 72%. Maybe there is someone who has the same laptop and can image the HDD and upload it?

Edit: I could just install clean Windows 98SE and install all the drivers and apps from Application Recovery CDs, but I just want to keep things as original as possible.

I have this laptop, can you share ISO image? Disassemble this tiny laptop could be risky, so I'll pass with it, even if I'll get this CD.

Sony PCGA-CD51 cost $57 on eBay, not huge money, to be honest.
