Please someone help!
I am trying to run Kingdom of Magic with vdmsound.
The installation completed perfectly but the game doesnt start.
It runs from cd. I think it doesnt run because kingdom's of magic .bat call some other files with some switches.
I tryed to xcopy the game on the hard disc but it had the same result.
Does anyone knows what should I do? All the other games i've tryed worked fine.

Don't have access to mine right now, but I can tell you that this game is an absolute pig when it comes to compatibility.

It absolutely "Hates NT" and bombed every time in XP.
Even when I tried to run it on the Win98 side I couldn't get it working properly. Will try to find my notes and see if there's anything useful in there...

Nothing good came up. Couldn't even get the installer to work within XP. Wouldn't even work right on my test rig with an ISA sound card and Win98. Only place it worked properly was on an ancient 486-66 with an ISA sound card and DOS.

At the very least, it looks like you would need to set up a dual-boot (which, of course, is a major pain after XP has been installed). DosBox might be able to support it someday (after "protected mode" support has been created).

You may also use a boot disk - works for me. The game runs fine (with minor graphic bugs) on a Geforce3 Athon1400 with SB16PCI.
