God why do I always do it to myself? I go to the China buffet, and God knows you're taking your life in your hands whenever and wherever you eat out in New Jersey. But this place may be one of the better ones (big ? there). So I fill up my plate twice, sky high, no dessert. And 30 minutes later, in this heat especially, I feel like I might pass out. Much more fish then anything else, how can you go wrong with fish. Little did I suspect ...

Did the Illuminati get it right? Should we be living like cavemen, just picking our food stuffs off the ground. God knows you can't overdo it with carrots. Little do I know ...

So glad my internal float switch still works.

The float switch definitely works. But therein lies the problem. You blow past reasonable limits and you're feeling it I tell you.

How do really fat people even get out of bed. I mean I myself am significantly overweight but you wouldn't guess nearly how much by my appearance (beachware notwithstanding). I met a guy the other day - looked like a beachball. You better believe he fills up his plates 4x.

Yeah heat and big servings are a bad combination. That's how strokes and heart attacks happen. Save the heavy meals for the cold months.

(Traditionally the two annual periods of heavy eating took place in midwinter - Christmas - and at the end of winter - shrovetide/carnival. Not the summer months.)

Now he tells me.

Funny thing is I hardly ate much yesterdqy. I figured if I let my belly get real empty, I'd be ok. Not. And I've been eating very light for the past 4-5 months. More veggies then ever before in my life. About 1.5 lbs. 3 - 4 days a week. But having this experience with meat/fish really makes me want to become a full on vegetarian again. Did it for about 6 years.

Losing weight is the single best thing anyone can do for themselves. I'm fitter now than I have been for many years due to a recent house move, which involved carrying hundreds of boxes and other heavy items from the old place to the new one. Not only did I lose weight, but a bunch of annoying pains and other problems that had plagued me for years disappeared. For example, I injured my Achilles tendon all the way back in 2014 and the pain never quite went away - until now. That was 10 years of soreness and discomfort.

Here in Australia, the biggest meal day of the year, Christmas, is right in the middle of summer.

Makes sense that part of the tradition is the post-Christmas-lunch-nap hahahaha

Haha, yes that will be a problem in Australia. South America ditto.

I used to go on 4 hour walks. Not often, not necessarily even monthly. But at around 50 yoa I was in better shape then a lot of people half my age. Last time I did that was almost 7 uears ago. I've since bought a bike. But due to a repetitive strain in 1 kneww (the best way I can describe it), all of that isn't currently possible. It looks swollen all the time. Damned thing just won't heal (and became aggravated when I started bicycling a few months ago. Don't know what to do. Got to find someone or something that can help with this. This inactivity will eventually kill me. I have high bp, sleep apnia, and am or am borderline diabetic.

The overeating has to utterly stop here and now though. It's hard enough getting even simple crap done. Don't even want to think how hard everything would be after a stroke or h.a.

You've got to watch out for the flu as well. I don't know if its COVID or something else, but there are some nasty strains about nowadays that didn't exist when I was younger. I've been hit several times in the last few years, and it goes harder if you're overweight. The coughing in particular is both violent (causing headaches and nosebleeds) and prolonged (causing shortness of breath.) I can see how people with weak constitutions can die from this.

And I found a 50% coconut cream pie at the supermarket. Couldn't resist. I only went for cat food and boxes.

I never had covid, that I know of. I had the worst cold in the last 25 years this past winter. Lasted 3 or 4 days. I did it ro myself.

I had to use massively prolonged public trans for 15 weeks between march and july in 2020. If I didn't catch anything then, well I'm not too worried. I'm generally hardy as a horse. But am getting older. You never really know what's around the corner.

Hydration is soooo important in weather like this. This is a miserable hot and humid summer from the getgo. And I'm blocks from waterways. You have to drink enough (especially if you're a fatty like me). I also take a water pill. Drains the piss out of you. Literally.
