hey everyone. This is my first time using dosbox so I'm really not sure what I am doing. I'm using OSX and running it through there, I'm trying to remember back to the days I had an old PC but its hard haha. Anyway here is what I have done. There are 2 files that show up, 1 is IMPERI~1 EXE and the other one is IMPERI~2 RAR. I managed to get the directory to C:\IMPGALAC>. After that I am stuck, its saying this program must be run under win32, I know that it is a DOS version I dont think they ever made a windows version. I am probably just dumb and typing in the wrong thing any help would be appreciated

unrar/zip the files
imperi~1.exe is probably a selfextractor

yeah I've tried the first file is imperiumgalactica.part1.exe and when I double click naturally it says with what I wish to open the file with. And the second is imperiumgalactica.part2.rar and when I try to unpack it it says " an error occurred attempting to expand imperiumgalactica.part2.rar. Unspecified stuffit engine internal error" Error #17999 so I'm definately lost

Open that .exe in some packer (7zip, winrar et al), try the extract or verify options then.

The OP's question has nothing to do with DOSBox. This thread should probably be moved elsewhere, i'd say.

AND, ddrach - you're obviously trying to install a pirated version of the game (original games do not come in multi-volume rar archives). You won't get much help on VOGONS for Warez/Abandonware downloads. Besides, maybe you should learn some things about decompressing files with your OS, i believe that would solve your problem with the game.
