Hi,

I have a program that i'm executing, IMP-MAIL.EXE. It is a "tosser" for FTN networks. I'm doing all of this in Linux. Here's the output I get:

I'm trying to execute it, but when I do, the output is all upppercase, as the paste above illustrates.
I'm wondering if this is because DosBOX "passes" the uppercase to the screen and its output?

Is there a way to allow the output of IMP-MAIL.EXE to be lowercase?
Do I need to edit the source code of DosBOX?

I know it's not recommenced, but I use DosBox all the time for non-gaming stuff.
The command interpreter has some limitations, but the DOS emulation itself is pretty good!
and given that games tend to be more demanding, it seems to have mos the core stuff implemented
quite well. (I've found at least one DOS INT21h that's not supported correctly - but it's rare and
rarely used - 5701h set timestamp)

I've got lots of stuff which outputs lower case in true DOS and DosBox - I've never seen a case where DosBox
translates lower to upper.

I'm not familier with IMP_MAIL .. but the fact that you are running it in DOS suggests to me that unless it goes out of it's
way to process LFNs (Long FileNames - which can include lower case) - DOSs standard file handling functions tend to
store/read names in upper case.
