Zotac - any good?

I'm contemplating buying a modernish graphics card. Rtx 3050 or better. There generally isn't a huge difference in price. But still wondering if this brand is any good. I have a z* 6/7th gen Intell mobo. I never used it to any degree. Seems fine but for the non standard atx ff.

Are the rtx cards way ahead in terms of anything over older gtx cards? A current budget card is the rtx 3050, which has a lower passmark rating then the gtx 1660. An rtx 3060 isn't that far ahead of the gtx 1660. I'm getting away from my original query I guess. Although zotac probably makes all 3 models.

Zotac's cards are perfectly fine. They tend not to be crazily overbuilt like EVGA's used to be, but they're cost-effective and built well enough to last the useful life of the card. I know that here at Vogons "useful life" has a different definition than most places, but I do know that I haven't seen an abnormal amount of people complaining about failures of them and I've seen a pair of Zotac Titan Black cards running well for a decade now.

I've had a few of their cards. Two 1070s and a 1080 Mini. I dealt with their support once when a 1070 failed and they quickly replaced it with a 1080 Mini. That was the closest replacement they had in stock at the time.

The 1080 Mini is still around and working well.

Personally, I have had no issue with the couple Zotac cards that I've used.

A guy I work with has several 3000 series Zotac cards (among others) that he used for both gaming and crypto, he had zero issues with any of them.

Zotac has climbed up there in the ranks among the other "well-known" brands over the past several years. So, yeah, in short, they are fine.

That reminds me. I have 4 of their p106-90s. I bought USB female connectors to solder to the circuit boards (yes there are pads). Never got around to it. I found gtx 1060 firmware online. All of that may change nothing. I have to dig them out though.
