When I was a teenager I used steganography to hide words in a picture with the program called Picencrypt, you could choose any picture in the program and then type text in a window, to make it secure so no one else could read the message a password had to be used which was made in the program, so far I hope that’s easy to understand, I then made three zipped files with an old program called BestCrypt Archive, it used an encryption key in the program to make it an exe file that also needed a password, stay with me it gets better
I used 3x mini DVDs to burn each zipped password protected exe file along with a single picture made with the first Picencrypt program
The picture was a hint to the password to use in Picencrypt, so for DVD 3 with Another World you would type another world and press read the picture to receive the message hidden in the picture, the message was the password for the exe file so all that was needed was to type in the password when prompted for the password to extract the exe file, very cool right, here is where I need your help I can’t remember the last password for the DVD 1.exe file because I can’t figure out my cryptic clue to the last picture of the Rusalka in Quest for Glory because I was a bit too good at making this password, but wait there’s more! This will actually become a good head scratcher for you guys because it’s not as easy as guess the picture puzzle, the Rusalka is a red herring like it is in the game, if you take her hand playing as the hero she would take you to your watery brine grave, what a great game
now I will show you all three pictures with the first two messages from Picencrypt , please be warned the second one is a little raunchy but hay I edited them out so nothing too revealing is shown, sorry guys
A) Picture of another world = another world
B) Picture of two girls = Luis Royo (artist name)
C) Picture of the Rusalka
Here is what Picencrypt looks like
From here on you have to put your thinking caps on because it gets difficult
Did you notice the subtle differences in the first two messages? There is an extra column of space between the words on one of them, so it looks like this:
“another world” as password with no capitals for "a & w"
===============================================
(one space from top)
The password for the file Small DVD 3.exe is:
(..one space..)
(..one space..)
sashaandme84621
“Luis Royo” as password with Capital letters for "L & R"
==============================================
(one space from top)
The password for the file Small DVD 2.exe is:
(..one space..)
emptybeercan57220
Nothing much to tell the press about there
So….what about the games intro sequence in another world do you remember the elevator pass code the professor enters in the keypad? Its 4511932 and it’s a 7 digit code, hers where its cryptic I sort of remember there had to be a block of numbers that was like a dot to dot to make a symbol because there are far too many numbers to try other than the ones above if you tried adding them together or subtracting or something else
The top rows first two numbers is from the amount of spaces in another worlds message and the middle rows first two numbers are from the amount of spaces from the two women message and the bottom row of numbers is the elevator pass code from another world
1284621
1157220
4511932
These numbers could be rearranged around but this is as far as I have gotten, I see the top row with a
suspicious “486” like centre number and that is as far as I have gotten guys!
You don’t have to read the rest but if you want see what I thought along the way when I first starting figuring this out keep reading but it’s in a simpler format
QFG picture is a red herring so maybe there is no code in the picture instead maybe the code is to be put straight into the exe file???
“Another world” as password with no capitals for "a & w"
=============================================== (Sorry I cant line up the font to look right I cant line up the numbers below)
(one space from top) 1?
The password for the file Small DVD 3.exe is: 3?
(..one space..) 2?..or..1?..or..3?........ORRR….
(..one space..) 3?..or..1?..or..4?.......................2x space = 2?
sashaandme84621 1323?..or..1311?..or..1334?......+ 84621 = 1284621 = 7 digit number
like elevator number
“Luis Royo” as password with Capital letters for "L & R"
==============================================
(one space from top) 1?..................ORRR…1?
The password for the file Small DVD 2.exe is: 2?
(..one space..) 2?..or..1?..or..3?...............1x space = 1?
emptybeercan57220 122?..or..121?..or..123?....+ 57220 = 1157220 = 7 digit number
elevator number? I bet I choose 1157220 instead of 5722011 because I don’t think I would have swapped the numbers around, and I bet I didn’t choose 1334 or the other variations, would have been too difficult
sooooooo……
idea 1.
(A) 1323 + 122 = 1323122 A bit of a stretch to guess the correct order?
or (B) 1311 + 121 = 1311121
or (C) 1334 + 123 = 1334123
(D) 4511932 – elevator code = ?
example of (A), B, C and D would be the same idea, there would have to be another set of numbers to make a cube like below or the two numbers need to be combined or made into asci code
4511932 or 1323122
1323122 4511932
xxxxxxx xxxxxxx missing numbers to make a grid pattern where I might of set it out to be join the dots type of symbol? or a combination of the two 7 digit numbers?
idea 2.
the numbers could equal an asci character by holding CTRL+SHIFT (I forget the exact keyboard shortcut keys) then typing a number aahhhgh I hope not but it could be a possibility if I kept it simple by using the only number 84621 and 57220
Idea 4.
the impossible never ending guessing could be any combination of: adding, subtracting, multiplying or some other way of combining the number strings found so far but I remember a little thinking I have to be able to guess it when I forget it so I didn’t make it impossible to put together because of so many possibilities, for all l know it could be a phone number but I don’t think so.
Idea 5.
I might just have to put the 3x 7 digit numbers in a string from start to end in the correct combination and I doubt this because it would have been too hard like having to mix them around ie: 123 or 132 or 213 etc otherwise I would never guess it
XX = doesn’t work on the Rusalka
57220 + 84621 = 141841 = XX
57220 – 84621 = -27401 = XX
84621 – 57220 = 27401 = XX
5722084621 = XX
8462157220 = XX
4511932 = XX
