I was pretty upset having to fire up Windows 98 anytime to launch AH-64D Longbow. However I recently discovered the Anthology version of the same game works fine.

Mixing the games, I noticed: replacing the lbwin.exe, wrapdll.dle files on the hard disk, and the MOVIES1.TRE file on the CD (I had to use a custom ISO for that) of standard Longbow with Anthology Longbow, the game would work fine.

I wonder if it is possible to look at the former two files, follow the execution and then patch, replace, NOP some things to make it bear the videos successfully?

Seems like more effort than zipping the files into a defacto patch.
My guess is that the anthology was simply compiled on a newer visual studio, so the files might be more different than a few nops could fix.

I built:
Convert old ASUS ASC boardviews to KICAD PCB!
Re: A comprehensive guide to install and play MechWarrior 2 on new versions on Windows.
Dos+Windows 3.11+tcp+vbe_svga auto-install iso template
Script to backup Win9x\ME drivers from a working install

I am not sure: only one .dle (.dll?) amd one executable changes and so does the video format of encoding. There can be many changes outside of what I tested, so its easier if someone tests the game.

Also there comes out an additional "low memory" error on exit
