Hello,
I have recently installed Nextstep 3.3 with all drivers on a retro pc.After installing and configuring my network adapter,I got :Failed to connect to server,press ctrl&c on startup.After running simplenetworkstarter ,that disappeared.Launching Omniweb and trying to connect to theoldnet.com,it stucks there.
What's wrong with it?

NeXTStep is fairly old, so only manual configuration is going to work. DHCP is going to be out of the question.
Don't attempt to setup Netinfo or NIS, your system will hang at boot if it is setup incorrectly.
I had to manually edit /etc/resolv.conf to add DNS servers.
Your router will also need to be configured to handle connections from your manually configured system as well.
Keep at it, what you want to do is possible.
