Sorry if this is against forum rules or in a wrong place, but I was wondering does anyone have links handy to some old icon packs?

Mixed icons and utilities, http://cd.textfiles.com/tothemaxww/ICONS/ look at files.bbs to tell them apart.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

Yeah, shovelware CD collections of icons on archive.org is definitely a good option!

Another option is to search on http://discmaster.textfiles.com, which indexes files inside collections on archive.org and will show you previews. You can only have at most 250 results per page though, it seems. You can set the desired format to "ico" and also set the file extension to "ico", but it'll still show resources inside .exe files if you do that, so it's not exactly only showing literal .ico files. I tried setting the date range to 19900101 to 19920101 and it definitely narrowed it down to much older-looking icons as opposed to e.g. the icon inside some Max Payne demo! If you click on one of the images, you can click the link at the start of the bread crumb trail and see what disc on archive.org it came out of.
