Gainwards always have super quality stuff. They are often factory-OC'd too. That ti4200 GW I sent you via DM can do 300/305mhz on core and memories respectively, which is 20mhz below the 4600.

Yea the Gainward Golden Sample, at least in the eariler years were top notch! I don't know what the "LE" moniker is for though. for instance this card says "GS LE" so (Golden Sample ????? ????? ). That Card you DM'd me also was a "GS LE".
Alot of the Cards just say GS only. Maybe upgraded main cooler?
Who decides what truth is, and what is their objective? Today’s falseness can reappear as tomorrow’s truth.
Purchased for the PCChips M550, repaired in recent days, this 4 GB memory card serves as the main disk, to load Windows 98 and DOS, to make them coexist, there is a modified file, which allows the startup of one or the other.
Obviously, you will need an IDE-CF adapter, I already have some, but in the M550 I tried to install two, one for each connector (present in the MB), unfortunately a mod needs to be done. on the back, because the pins on the back are protruding, and touch the voltage selection jumper, and create interference when inserting the second adapter.

Yes, it is. FYI that CPU is a 133 MHz FSB which will mean overclocking the AGP card.

I'd love to have one of those. There's a guy selling one on ebay right now for $625 Canadian.
About time we do a re-engineered one slotket to rule them all, universal 370 and 479 for mobile on the front, full spectrum power regulator, and pads to put a Via C3 or an Intel Atom on the back.... then watch 440BX boards blow through $500 on the way to the moon 🤣

not all the GS are like the others maybe? memories go from 4ns of the standard one to 3.3ns of the one I have. mine has the circular heatsink like the one I linked to you the other day

If the board has a universal AGP bus, then overclocking is not required

LE stands for light edition and I think (not sure) that in the Gainward line it means that it is clocked slightly lower and/or that it is a less 'dressed up' version than non-LE. I have TI 4800 GS LE here and it came for example without heatsinks on the ram chips.

Full disclosure, I have that Powerleap adapter on a ASUS P2B so I was assuming using it on a 440BX chipset motherboard. 440BX doesn't have a 1:2 ratio for the AGP bus so a 133 MHz FSB CPU results in an 89 MHz AGP speed.

Scored today:
- Magic Twinpower 3dfx Voodoo Banshee 16MB - works in DOS, has very slight artefacting in Windows. Inspection reveals a few pins on the U8 RAM chip being corroded, which just need a clean and a bit of solder reapplied.
- 3d Blaster Banshee 16MB SGRAM - works great, might update it to 1.03 later since I have the files. Also need to either paint its original one or source a new bracket, as its own bracket was hella rusty.

I presume the IDE->M.2 is just SATA, because PCI-E conversion would be just crazy (awesome?) to do.

This is NGFF of course. Not NVME.

Yup, ASUS V3800/32M not a bad Ultra card.
V3800/32M is a plain TNT2, not an Ultra. The Ultra series all have Ultra in the Asus model name.
See my graphics card database at www.gpuzoo.com
Constantly being worked on. Feel free to message me with any corrections or details of cards you would like me to research and add.
This is what Ultra looks like.
Picked up this nice AOC 7K+ CRT, model F1795+.
I'm pleasantly impressed by it - I wonder if the tube inside is similar to the one used on my Philips 107P4, which IIRC was a Mitsubishi branded tube.

So, I guess several things collided to make this thing come out like it did, One: I am kinda curious about 486SLC. Two: I love love love the tiny boards in this footprint Three: I was idly browsing eBay for something totally unrelated, and saw this listing by accident. Four: It happened to be ending in a few hours. Five: I got the impulse to throw on the minimum bid, fairly sure that some other bidding would ensue and it would get $15 or so higher, or that I would get sniped by a buck in the last minutes.
Thus, now I am the owner of two scruffy examples of this little bugger https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/pine-t … hnology-pt-319a though shipping might take a month plus.
They do not look all that bad actually, one had a Varta grenade on it, but it's grenaded rather than nuked, so doesn't look too hard to save. The other looks like it maybe only has minor problems. I think I can get my money's worth out of them one way or another, fixing up or pulling chips and sockets. I do have another similar board somewhere with an SX25 on, I would not mind if that got involved somehow, either upgraded with parts, or donating it's KBC or whatever. I have what I feel like is too many machines around the SX25 area, which need either perking up or liquidated. Another candidate is the janky AST Powerexec notebook that has too many flaws to be restored easily or cheaply to original appearance so might get a restomod with a color screen and a 486SLC.
Of course, just to get 486SLC chips, there was a seller Rose Electronics with them listed for under $10 NOS, but given that they appear to be located right where Helene made landfall, one might want to give it a couple of weeks to find out if they are alive, or to take a shrimping net down there and see if you can fish them out of the Gulf.
Edit: Just finding out that the highly similar but not identical PCChips M396F is a "no battery no POST" board, so that will be something to try.
EditII: Holy guacamole, there's a repro M396F board I could use all the chips on if the varta did it's worst. Re: PC CHIPS/FOXCON M396F ver. 2.6
Yay, finally got the tracking saying they got under way, must have just missed the weekly trip to town or something. Not an accelerated shipping method, so still due between sometime and eventually.
Was idly pondering breaking out the photoresist boards I had saved for a special occasion, and playing around with a projector to brew my own from the M396F files, or maybe trying toner transfer on regular stock .... but I realised it would probably drive me crazy(er) doing all the holes, so I guess I'll pass on that one.

Well it sucks for running DOS and sucks for running Win11, so where in between did you have in mind?
Edit: For anyone waiting with bated breath, that P4 system on the 24th has a 3.0 Preshot in it. I think it's my first 478 preshot, I've got tweaked 2nd stepping and cedar mill in other stuff.

It's a good deal. It has a PCIe slot, so good for games. A 4870X2 or 295 GPU would be era appropriate and fit the dual-things theme!
