That's what I was thinking about doing..
I do have a working Win 3.1 installation and it's easy to put files on my HDD since it's an SD card.
Do you remember if this application is on the CD contents?
I mean if I copy the "restore" folder on my hard disk will I be able to run an application from within that folder to automatically install the software ?

My Aptiva 2144-888 was deliverd with two CD-ROMs. The recovery CD has 14 European languages of IBMDOS 6.30 + Windows 3.1 on it at about 40MB each, so I guess they couldn't fit the multimedia stuff on the same CD-ROM.

Interestingly, the multimedia disc only has 6 languages on it, the major Eurpean languages, but also Swedish for me. 😀

The CD-ROM drive in the computer has recently started to have problems ejecting the discs with them jumping out of the sled and getting jammed half way out! Thankfully neither of these gems were the disc in the drive at the time. So it was definitely time to make a couple of ISOs of these.

I noticed you're in Portugal. 😀 These are the languages included on the first CD-ROM. I'm not really sure what some of these are supposed to be. They seem to have been using a mix of language codes and locales. Some don't make any sense to be included on this disc even and some don't seem to even exist officially (made up by someone at IBM?).

Nothing seems to be Portuguese at least.

Yeah, IIRC, my Aptiva had the UK version of DOS but the BIOS was in portuguese... 😀
