Hi! In this thread How to fit 4 minutes of video onto a standard 3.5" floppy disk? I've asked you guys for tips on how to fit a 4 minute video onto a floppy disk. I guess I owe you an explanation. You see, apart from being a computer geek I play in this ethereal darkwave musical project called Amrou Kithkin. You get bonus points if you know where the name comes from 😉
We've just released a double a-side single https://amroukithkin.bandcamp.com/album/a-lam … ures-atrocities and the fun fact is that it's available on a 3.5" floppy disk! I've crammed two songs in there, one of which is the aforementioned video (if you're curious how crappy it looks, here's a link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gP2dSE3u_TFn … iew?usp=sharing and here it is in higher quality https://youtu.be/IGBjZtiK5QU?si=c4d87mErl39GBr7N
Oh, the single features some lo-fi samples, i.a. from the legendary SoundTracker sample disks.
Mind you this is not our first floppy disk release. We've even been featured in LGR's video about music on floppy disks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-Iy-ykpwkA and there's also a brief mention here at around 3:25 https://youtu.be/g0Q1T1IV-ic?t=202
Enjoy!
