I just started building a WinXP Pro VM in VirtualBox. This is the first WinXP build I've started since ~2016.
Windows Update, Microsoft Update, and Automatic Updates don't work anymore.
Huh. How about that?
Fortunately, I saved copies of all the updates that were being pulled down from the updater services in ~2016. However, I'm not looking forward to installing 130+ individual updates. I suppose I should count my blessings that I actually saved a copy of the updates back then, because I can't even imagine trying to find all of this crap nowadays.
So what's everybody doing to update WinXP boxes anymore? I see there's an unofficial SP4 out there, but is it trustworthy?
I've also seen some WSUS Offline packages at Archive.org, but again, are they trustworthy?

Are y'all just saying fuggit and running SP3 without any further updates?
Let's hear what your strategies (or lack thereof) are for updating WinXP nowadays.
