In BIOS I find the under boot options i find the entries USBFDD and USBCD tried them both but no luck booting from an usb stick. Do I need to prepare the stick in a special way to use these options?

Those options are specifically for USB floppy drives and USB CD Drives.
There are some USB sticks that emulate a CDROM drive (U3 drives) that will boot using the USB CD option, but they are rare these days. My last working one died a few years ago (SanDisk cruzer contour).
"iodd st400" seems to still be available
Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.

Alternatively, a Raspberry Pi Zero can emulate a USB FDD or CDROM via the Mass Storage Gadget driver: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/v6.9/usb/mass-storage.html
