Recently picked up a Compaq Presario Model 2256 and looks to be in good working order. I was able to install Windows 98 it just fine and things seem to be working if I go that route but I was kinda hoping to get it to its original state if possible as it looks like it runs Windows 95. To my surprise I found a restore CD from Achrive.org for the 2256/2510, link below.
https://archive.org/details/quickrestore
I burned the disk, booted from the CD and I put the serial number in and I got "The serial number you entered is not supported by QuickRestore."
The model I have is the 2256

I tried to find a different restore CD but so far no luck yet. I also tried to find some different serial numbers to try but I wasn't able to find any. Any of you guys know how to get around this? Thanks again
