After years of waiting I finally captured my "unicorn".
My retro hobby have been mainly about cheap stuff popping out on local market however this one was my first "I want this" type of chase. However it started badly since it turned out that there are more "I want this" type of weird people but with fatter wallet on auction sites. I still clearly remember bid getting over 200EUR and I let it slide. After that it became quest to find one with normal price...

It was sold untested but competition was lighter this time. Fortunately quick power on test was successful.
Looks like B4 chipset revision so good one...

Bought 2 286 boards.
One does post (3x ic chipset) - https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/leadma … inc-lm-103fs-16

The other does not (HT12 chipset) - ??? no idea which one it is but can you spot "what's wrong with this picture"? (placebo quote)
Probably this one: https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/lucky-star-cm-286ghs

Heh, KBC in the 287 socket. Did you notice that after it didn't POST ? Or it doesn't POST with it put in the right place? There's a possibility that chip is toast now, you could try it with only 512kb in and the KBC out altogether. Also some boards do nothing without a battery on the header, and some do nothing until you bridge the keylock switch.

Seller's pic. He couldn't make it work. "how about that" (Sawyer)
I'm just hoping it'll post after removing the kbc and testing with a known good one.

I'm not that unexperienced not to notice at first glance 😉 - 🤣

Awww man, what a let down, now he's got nobody to share carrot salad tips with 🙁 🤣

(Sorry, watched Camping 1, 2 and 3 the other month and it seemed quite the joke that one guy lived off carrot salad and Benco )

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

That is actually the Waverider 32+. I own the same card and would really appreciate a scan of the manual and an image of the driver disk..

I own this card as well. Got copies of the driver disks (2 disks). If the disks from PD2JK are bad send me a PM and I'll make copies of the copy. 😜

Too bad. I was about to ask for a french food section on vogons.

I would rather live off camembert cheese, red wine and andouillettes than salade and benco 😂

Not sure Sausages that smell like colon go well with Red Wine and Camembert Cheese but perhaps its a French thing, I mean snails are a thing there too and I am 100% sure the heavy garlic is to disguise the smell of cooked snails.

You're good to go to supply the driver to appiah4! I got no drivers with it, just the manual.

That'not that bad 😂 And taste is better than the smell.

For the snails I'm sure they smell and taste nothing and that's why garlic and butter are added.

Yah I think I tasted a piece of snail wayyyy back, and it was kinda like an over boiled mushroom, chewy rubber, whereas whelks were salty rubber, and cockles mildly fishy salty rubber.

Anyhoo, we have a generic food thread going here What are you eating/drinking? (the vogons food thread)

Well my price wasn't that good - 65EUR but I got it bundled with am486DX4-120 and S3 Trio32 PCI.
REV 1.22 is PnP board. My had 5v PH29EE010 EPROM. BOard came with v301 version and I flashed it to 306 since Retroweb warned me against 307

Chaintech 6BJM arrived yesterday, alongside the modded PAL Dreamcast. Tested both, working well, awaiting a BlueRetro dongle for the DC.

More GPUs. I actually got the Banshee ages ago but I haven't tried it yet, because I forgot it in a drawer at my mom's house, which is in another town. X800xt, Random Radeon DDR 64mb with 6ns memories, and a random Mx400 or something like that from which I was planning to harvest the fan but that's not the correct one. X800xt is in gorgeous conditions. Not a single scratch. The other one I have has been chewed by a rottweiler, or something.

Can you scan or take pics of the products leaflet?

Here you are. I have a 600 DPI version as well, but 15MB is too large to attach it. PM me if you're interested.

On-topic, I got a CT4620 + CT4660 in, the Live! 'Gold' version.

Seeing as the other owner does not have the disks, I'd really appreciate if you could image and share them.

EDIT: Assuming they are different from the ones on Vogonsdrivers already: https://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fil … menustate=57,52 which is a 3 disk bundle..

Just got an account for Vogonsdrivers and uploaded it (http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?file … menustate=57,52). It's 2 disks and only for DOS and Windows 3.1.

If I remember correctly I used the other drivers from Vogonsdrivers in the end as I needed Windows 95 drivers as well (see Trust/Aztech sound card is using 2 IRQ's in Windows 95).
