Hello everyone,
I'm encountering an issue while trying to install Windows 95 OSR2 on my computer and would appreciate any assistance or insights.
CPU: Pentium 166 MMX
Motherboard: QDI P5i430TX
Memory: 32 MB SDRAM
Graphics Card: S3 Virge
Primary Hard Drive: CF card (set as master, and it says "LRG, UDMA 4, 8019MB")
Current OS: MS-DOS 6.22 (boots without issues)
After installing Windows 95 OSR2, the installation process begins normally. However, during the first restart, the system hangs after listing PCI devices, and no further messages appear. Notably, the PCI device listing at the freeze point is identical to the listing displayed when booting successfully into MS-DOS 6.22.
The first time this happened, I didn't realize it was related to the Windows 95 installation. About a month later, I tried restoring the HDD and attempted the installation again and encountered the same issue.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem or have any suggestions on how to resolve this boot hang during the Windows 95 installation process?
Thank you in advance for your help!
