I can't play it without disabling the steering help because the annoying "help" won't let me drive into the pits. It keeps steering me away.

If I remember correctly there was a shortcut key to enable pit-stop.

I think it's the enter key, and I think it lights up something that looks like a pair of yellow square brackets [] in your cockpit, which will also light up automatically if you damage something or you're getting low on fuel.

PD: i can only play with steering help enabled with my xbox one controller otherwise i spin the car in 1 second 🤣, this game is super difficult

Yeah it kinda sucks without a full range analog controller, even then you need to be precise. I am remembering something about arcade or beginner mode locking all the complex options out. Been too long since I was into it though. There was rumors that it was accurate enough back in the day that some drivers were using it to learn the circuits, lots have changed now though.
