Finally re-united with my first computer (not this exact unit), the PS/1 486 SX 25.

This unit I found is what I believe to be one of the late versions with 4mb and 170mb HD, and is in mint condition. Everything works perfectly and boots to Windows 3.1

After opening the case I was surprised to see a socket removable 486 SX CPU. I was expecting to find a soldered cpu with adicional overdrive socket, like in my first PS/1 with 2mb ram.

Before seeing this, I have ordered from ebay a
Overdrive DX20DPR66 SZ935 witch Im not sure if I can use in this motherboard.

Next steps, install Sound Blaster and CD-ROM (I would love to find a Creative 4x).

Ill might install a network card if im able to find DOS software for filesharing, otherwise is not worth it since I plan to keep the original IBM software pack with Windows 3.1 and DOS 6.0

Make sure you try out these Original IBM Disk images.
https://ps1stuff.wordpress.com/download/downl … -for-type-2133/

They are of the original installations that came with your computer.
You will learn allot from them because they are loaded with Dos tools and Diagnostics and Batch files.
For administration and maintenance of the computer.

Just download on your Win-10 PC , extract using Winrar and then Burn to a CD-R
Put CD in your IBM PC Boot off a Floppy disk with CDROM Support
and Copy your CD onto your Harddrive using Xcopy command.
E.g.
# Xcopy /s/e D:*.* C:

Thank you. I actually still have the restore disks from my first PS1, as well the original monitor, but I downloaded from that site the files with DOS 6
