I'm running WinXP, trying to play TIE Fighter with a Saitek X45.
I'm probably getting this wrong, but I assume (and let's say for the sake of argument) that, on the joystick:
left=X+
right=X-
up=Y+
down=Y-

OR

[__][y+][__]
[x+][ c ][x-]
[__][y-][__]
c=center

So then, movement from X+,Y- through X-,Y+ works just fine as does *exactly* X-,Y-. What *does not work* is X- or Y-.

OR

[*][*][*]
[*][C][x]
[*][x][*]
*=works
x=does not work

Sorry if this doesn't make any sense... I've been working on this problem too long.
Anyway, I have the joystick patch from Lucasarts. I can't think of any other downloads I've made. I've fiddled with the joystick settings in dosbox.conf as much as possible.

Any suggestions welcome!
