I think the "beige" filaments that I've seen are too dark. Maybe look for "Bone", "Ivory", "Cream", or "Matte" ?

Anyone in luck finding some beige PLA filament? Or is painting still the way to go.

I'll share both STL and Fusion files, if anybody wants (it could be ½-1 mm narrower, I guess - or it may be my printer not being trimmed properly.

I've tried every color in my local store that looks like "beige PC", but alas, nothing REAL good. I like "bone white" the best since it has a yellowed-PC kinda color. I've had good results doing several layers of white before going to bone, which DOES add some realism. The "Creality" branded "White" was a good one, too. Inland white was too white.

I'm still hunting for the perfect beige, but it's going to take a while unless companies start making sample packs...

That is the same printer I've been using. It has been working great. I think it was a good choice for a beginner (as I was) and I foresee it doing hundreds of hours more before I see any real failure. I've replaced the bed surface, it wears out if it sees enough action and I've replaced the nozzle once, just because of the heavy use I was putting it through in the first 6 months of owning it. The parts I could see failing are the fans (of course, but the damn thing was LOUD to begin with) and the bearings/rollers for the head. The gearset in the head for the filament feed also has a lot of slop now, which can lead to string-y prints. I haven't opened it at all(yet), just making it do work. Creality Slicing software is easy to use, too. Even with no experience, someone could learn it very quickly.

Yeah, samples would be nice, because a full spool of a color that doesn't match, would sit ontouched here like forever ...

But good input with "mixing" like one or to layers of one color and then switching to like a white or black ...

As a color at the moment I'm using the PC Gray from Devil Design.
It don't match an old computer at all, but I like it.

I was LUCKY as a DUCKY last weekend as I found a WHOLE PC in the dumpster. It had another CNPS9500 in it!! That is the Beez kneez, man! I love that cooler!

It was also another opportunity to test out the socket 462 Bracket I made for the CNPS9500 a while back.

Excellent. It's good. Good enough to share now.
I use 1" screws (6-32) to mount it. I also put mica washers on the bottoms of the legs, for safety. The backer just needs the nuts melted in and it is ready. The top piece is just screwed down with screws designed for plastic (salvaged, but very common).

Install the lower bracket first, then sneak the cross part in there and the hardest part, screwing those screws in at severe angle. I pre-screw the holes, so they're threaded, which made it fairly easy.

As for the printing of such brackets, I'd advise 100% fill and .1mm layers. I have PLA+ and ABS test subjects. They both work the same. The PLA+ is easier, of course, to melt the nut into the backer.

I've been gaming fairly heavily on my CT-7NJL6/A-XP3000+/R9600XT and it is cool 'n quiet (finally). CPU temp never goes above 45C under any circumstance (ex. fan off) after hours of gaming. It was getting to 60+ with the stock cooler with the whiz-bitch fan on it. I can actually tone down the fan with such a large cooler on it.

I've designed a stackable box for floppies since I have hundreds of them and wanted a better way to store them than those old plastic boxes. This system allows unlimited stacking and uses relatively little filament:

You ever put together a computer and wonder: "Where in the hell does the PC Speaker go?" Nowhere. The answer is nowhere. That case is too "modern" to accommodate for that.

Here is the 3.5" Bay to PC Speaker Adapter. Fits basically any case that uses the bottom holes of the HDD to mount. It was made for the speaker shown, so it has the screw towers. I have included a version without the wings, as I have plenty of "regular" PC speakers as well. I will use hot glue to mount those ones.

I'm out of appropriate screws, so I can't install any yet.

I love the very organic look of that!

It's a smart idea. I'd have used magnets since most cases are metal - it allows you to place it near unused fan openings for better sound. It's a cool idea to use unused drive bays though.

I have this Ultra HDD cooler that uses two 60mm fans, right? Kinda useless... BUT, what if I just used it to cool my hot-ass GPU? So I made this goofy bracket, to try and make a sort of "conversion kit" for HDD coolers.

Hmmm... Didn't work due to some issues that were obvious (I could make it work) so I decided to go a different (better) route. Just making a adapter for two 60mms. This should be good.

This 3.5" drive attached is quite comical, though!!
