Hi, I've just picked up a Geforce FX 5600 (or at least that's what it was sold as, I haven't actually checked yet, but it looks like one) and it's got this weird yellow header on it. I have no idea who made the card because there's no branding on it anywhere besides a barcode that starts with MS - Micro-Star, maybe? Regardless, I've never seen anything like this before on a graphics card, so what could it be?
It looks exactly like a 4-pin audio header you'd get on a sound card, and I know that some graphics cards did come with a little piezoelectric buzzer soldered to the board that gives out error beeps, but a header for attaching a full-on PC speaker seems a bit strange to me. I'd attach one and see, but I just put my last free speaker into a build, and also I don't want to break anything - plus if the card works correctly then it probably won't make a sound, anyway.
