It seems gog.com's Syndicate Plus has problems emulating on Dosbox, like early enemy triggering and soundeffects not playing.

This is a thread on gog's Syndicate forum about it but there are more threads from people with issues with this game.

Things already tried out is lowering cpu cycles and choosing different cpu cores but to no avail.

People have forgotten how difficult the expansion is. You're expected to solve every mission a certain way and it's not always obvious.

Also the game is speed sensitive, lowering the cycles to ~4000 makes a noticeable difference.
