I'm trying to play this game but i'm getting stuck on the title screen no matter what i do:

I tried running the game with the "-c" suffix to run it in CGA mode, with the "-s" suffix to run it without sound. I tried it with or without the turbo switched on. Tried installations from multiple sources...no luck at all. After the game gets stuck i can only restart the PC (works by pressing ctrl+alt+del, when i press other keys i can hear beeps but the game does not exit).

My config is 486SX-33, 4MBs of RAM, Trident TVGA 9000i. Is my PC too fast to run this game?

BTW installations that i tried on 486 have no issues in DosBox.

You could test such cases in 86box. The results are a bit different with different boards but the CPU seems to be a bit too fast for the game. It worked with 486sx 25 at least on one board though.

I discovered that disabling L1 cache solves the problem (L2 can remain enabled). Indeed the CPU is too fast. Thank you eddman for your hint, never heard of 86box before, seems an interesting piece of software.
