Hi! I am looking for some programs to capture screenshots from the mentioned Windows OSes. I also want to know how to take screenshots from DOSBox and DOSBox-X. I enjoy taking screenshots of games, converting them to wallpapers and putting them on my computers. BTW, if anybody here's interested, I have some of C64, NES, SNES and a few Amiga games online and can upload more C64 and Amiga game shots.

Both DOSBox and DOSBox-X have a built-in screenshot key. Check the manual. Or you could just press PrtScn.

I'd better check the manual. Thank you. 😀

Win98se just press PrtScn and paste the result into Paint. Or use a modifier key (Ctrl, Shift, or Alt) with PrtScn to copy just the highlighted window.

Is there a way to output it directly to a file?

Not in Win98.

In Win10/11, pressing window + prtscn will save to users/[username]/pictures/screenshots

I have Greenshot on my Win11/64 laptop even though I haven't used it in a long time. Maybe there's similar for Win98?
