I have installed Windows 3.0 on my 386 and copied the whole contents of the C:\WINDOWS folder on my 486 but I put it in the C:\WIN30 directory because there is already a copy of Windows 3.11 on that computer residing in C:\WINDOWS.
The problem is that Windows 3.0 still tries to load drivers from the C:\WINDOWS directory instead of the C:\WIN30 and fails. I have searched for an entry in SYSTEM.INI and WIN.INI files for the installation directory however there is none. So the question is: Where is the information about Windows installation directory stored and how can I change it from the default C:\WINDOWS to the C:\WIN30?
