I found out that i have an integrated sound system thing. Which means i have no sound card.

I now do not know what settings to put and since trying each setting risks my pcs health, (crashing, hanging) therefore, i want to know if there is an easier way out of this.

I had to use a slowdown utility to run SETUP.EXE

Right, you have an audio chipset.

If you're running XP, you can simply kill the process in most cases. Win98 is more likely to have the catastrophic types of failures, but recovery is not so bad.

Without actual "hands-on" experience with your PC, experimenting is the primary way of troubleshooting the game (actually, even if I had actual access, you still wouldn't have any guarantees...) and that sometimes causes crashes.

Is this for "Tyrian" or "Tyrian 2000"? You might also want to place "Tyrian" in the quick search box at the top of the page and read some of the earlier posts.

I'm betting that you're going to have to use a combo of Win98 with the alpha of the WIN9x version of VDMSound.
