I bought the USB version of the Soundblaster Live! 24bit for my Pentium 4 PC and it works great after I installed the drivers BUT I lack the software to configure anything. After hours of searching the only driver CDs I can find, are the ones for the PCI version of the card and the software refuses to detect the USB device.

Does anyone have this CD & would be willing to provide it? It's not available on Vogon's driver site that I can see either. Thank you in advance!

I still have it.
I still use it in my current Windows 10 system.
It is 315 MB in size.
But I don't have a possibility to upload it somewhere.

Can't you upload it to Mega, Mediafire, Google Drive or use Send Anywhere?

WeTransfer is for free and the link lasts for 3 days. If you could upload it, I would be extremely thankful.

There's some applications available at Creative's webpage:
https://support.creative.com/Downloads/welcom … px?prodID=10702

I've downloaded them all - they install but when I try to run them, they complain about device not found.

I found a topic on another forum with someone who had the exact same issue (including the software on Creative's website not wanting to run) and someone linked to the CD but that was back in 2009 and the link of course is long since dead. For him that fixed the issue so I'm hoping it will do it for me as well.

They're the only working drivers I could even find. I just checked again to be absolutely sure with the exact same (negative result) but if you read the comments it explicitly says you need to install the CD first and THEN these programs so it seems the CD installs certain dependencies besides just drivers.

Those are the wrong drivers.
SB Live! 24-bit External (which I understood to be SB0490, yet somehow in the inf it has codename SB_KS150?) is USB\VID_041E&PID_3040.
The ones you linked are instead for PIDs 3041 (USB SB X-Fi XA Karaoke, aka SB0910), 3042 (SB X-Fi Surround 5.1, aka SB1090), 30D2 (SB X-Fi Notebook, aka SB0950) and 30E0 (SB X-Fi Go!, aka SB1100).

Too bad that daniel_k's pack (which used to be just a single installer for all the USB cards) is nowhere to be found unfortunately.

And I can guess that's a snafu of theirs on their website because at least daniel_k's pack (which btw is nowhere to be found unfortunately) used to be just one for all the USB cards.

Which file did you get there? Creative's page auto-sets the filters. The product ID for for the 24-bit external should be 10702. Did you check USB_PCDRV_LB_1_02_0000.exe (from Win 7 64-bit).

As far as I know the drivers for Win 2k and XP was never fully released on the web by Creative, just an update, which is something they did for several products around that time.

I found the file in a Russian driver torrent, so reuploaded to my mediafire account (along with mirrors of his other compilations): https://www.mediafire.com/folder/gz4hdkfllms67/Daniel_K

Right, I had missed that. There are actually XP drivers for that card if you set the right filter, with all the seemingly legit files.
What I was instead noticing is that in the other instances those are missing. Not that you would be expecting much else from packages for (duh) Vista/7/10, but that IS the case for other cards.
And honestly it's pretty strange for the last drivers to be dated in 2005? Like even the *original* live got them for longer (and I could see it in its D_K driver's here).

My SB0490 uses a Windows 10 AMD64 driver version 1.3.26.9 with date 2017-02-10
The driver was supplied by Windows Update
