Hello, I want to ask if this game is possible to run under Winodws 98. I tried restarting from 98 under dos, but again it won't run. To make sure that the problem is not with my configuration (P4i65G + P4 + Radeon 9600) I tried the game with PCem and it gives the same error there.

I ran dos (from a bootable disk) and the game ran perfectly.
What is the difference between the 98 dos and the clean dos (from a boot disk)?

I also want to ask if the game has a windows version or is it "Black Warrior"?

For now I found some solution to still run the game.. but not from windows.

MS-DOS Mode Super Easy

From the first three options (which are with CDROM) the game starts without a problem, from the others - not.
Is there a way under windows98 to run any of the 3 dos options?

I don't have my Win98SE tower available--it's at my mother's house; it's broken, and I'm not there right now--but try to load the CD drivers from your default config.sys and autoexec.bat files. 😀

I also managed to install audio drivers under DOS - SBPCI.
I burned the game to disk - now it starts with the soundblaster setting enabled (it didn't start before - black screen).
I just don't know why there is no music, only the sounds are heard.

And the other thing I want to ask - I have installed the sound drivers under win98, but I don't know how to set up (for example DOOM) to have sound in games.

The DOS that is available inside windows itself isn't proper "DOS". The game might very well require actual DOS to work.

Using that method means you're booting into real DOS. You can maybe mimic it inside windows but it still won't be the same.

It seems that game uses CD audio for music. First check if the image is a proper bin/cue dump with the audio tracks included. If it is, then you probably have to connect the cable from the CD drive to the sound card.

Yes, that was it, I connected the cable and there is sound now. Thanks!

And I still have to figure out how to adjust the sound of DOS games under Windows.

The configuration is:
AsRock P4i65G
Pentium 4 3Ghz
Ram: 2x1GB DDR400
Video: ATI Radeon 9600 128MB
Sound: CT5803 (ES1373)
Monitor: Mag Innovision 17"
