Hello.
I recently got an unbranded ATX case that is apparently from the early to mid-2000s according to the Pentium 4 sticker that's on the front of it.
The case came with two internal disc drives (DVD-R DL, DVD-ROM) and what surprised me was that one of them are the SATA type. I was wondering if you know where to find one like it because I have no place to connect an IDE drive on my modern motherboard (z77e-itx). I tried looking on places like eBay and Mercari but I haven't found a single listing about it so I wonder if they're hard to find or not.

The color trend had moved from beige to black in the time period when SATA came along. So they were not that common. They do exist though. Got a couple of Sony Nec Optiarc AD-7203S DVD-RW for example here in stock. One with a black and one with a beige front.

Adding to what has been said, during that transition period some (or many) drives shipped with an extra bezel, so it was up to you whether to use the black or the beige one.
The Plextor PX716-SA is one example, I had it back in the day, and I'm sure I've seen LiteOns and LGs as well that came with black and beige bezels.

That link only says beige, not SATA.

I see them if I search google “sata dvd beige”

example:
https://store.dex.com/products/dvd-rw-drive-2 … x-w-beige-bezel

On that page it says IDE, not SATA

See my graphics card database at www.gpuzoo.com
Constantly being worked on. Feel free to message me with any corrections or details of cards you would like me to research and add.

I needed a beige SATA drive for a sleeper project a couple of years ago. I found an eBay listing for a set of LG beige faceplates similar to the listing below:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/203002238830

I bought the matching drive new from Amazon.

LG's DVD drives were pretty consistent, so these plates will fit a number of different drives if you don't mind a mismatch between the printing and the drive's capabilities. I used one on an ATAPI drive for a different project recently.

Assuming that it's not just "new old stock".

It's possible to 3D print parts like this. eSUN PLA+ Matte Light Khaki is a material that matches the old original IBM beige grey: Re: 3D print topic?
