Everyone,

A long shot, I know, but you never know...

I am trying to resurrect (and do some software development for) a Matrox Genesis board.

Now, back when it was supported, it had multiple software packages that could be purchased, among them a Developers' Toolkit, that allowed to write custom code and run it on the on-board DSP.

I did look around, and I also contacted Matrox. Unfortunately they not only don't support that line anymore, they also sold the whole IP to Zebra, who also have zero support/database for those, as they have not been produced in 20 years...

Would anyone by any chance know where such a software could be found?

Thanks in advance.

There is definitely something Genesis-related in there, thanks!
The MIL is their imaging library, which is a prebuilt set of primitives that can be called from a native application.
The Developers' Toolkit allowed to go further and create code that gets uploaded to the board and run there, I will check if this CD contains that too.

The DTK installation is password protected 🙁
InstallShield asks for a password, not much of a chance finding out what that is...

Which file is the DTK install?

There is one main installer. The option to install the DTK is part of the installation process for the Genesis Native Library.
The entire GNL package is in the "Redist\Genesis" folder. Most of the files are right there and can be copied out, but the DTK is password protected, and its files are encrypted, so even copying them from the CD they are unusable.

BTW, I managed to recover the password, so I am good now 😀

I was thinking about it too, although as this was something that was only available through the purchase of a specific license, I am not sure I am comfortable sharing it publicly.

Granted, these are boards that went out of production 20 years ago or so, so it's probably ok to share, but I will check with the IP owner first.
