As your are looking for lower speed, the cpu are quite easy to change with your config. Have you considered using a Pentium II 233 Klamath ?

Once I get around to installing my new motherboard, that will give me much more customisable options via the BIOS. I was shown that I can configure the CPU speed, the FSB, and disable/enable the cache etc. With any luck, I probably won't need any utilities. 😀 Although some are convenient if I use a custom batch file to launch a game.

OS: Windows 98 SE
CPU: Pentium III Katmai 450MHz (SL35D)/Pentium III Coppermine 933MHz (SL448)
RAM: SK Hynix 128MB 100MHz/Kingston 256MB 133MHz
GPU: Nvidia 16MB Riva TNT/Geforce 128MB 4 MX 440
Motherboard: MSI-6156/Abit BE6-II

Does anyone have any recommendations for CPU throttlers under Windows? All the ones I've tried so far are for DOS, but I have a native Windows game that runs too fast that I'd like to slow down.
