For some reason, when I try to run Dosdrv, or run the VDMSRun.bat program, I just get that message in the subject.

When I try to use the "Run with VDMS.." right click option, it just tells me "Batch file missing".

I'm on a WinXP Pro machine, Athlon XP 1700+, GF 4 TI4200 video card, C-Media CMI8738 Sound card, integrated into the Iwill XP333 motherboard, though I get a feeling this isn't to due with my hardware config.

I just downloaded the program, installed it, tried running it, got that message. Looked around here, downloaded Update 1, extracted it over top of the installation, still get the same message.

So, any clues?

Also, I have tried to 'repair' the installation already under add/remove programs. Same message.

For starters you must install it as an Administrator. Try uninstalling/reinstalling it and update it to its latest components.

Yes, it’s my fault.

For some reason uninstalling and reinstalling it to the default patch worked.

I had installed it before to E:\Program Files\VDMSound\

and it didn't work.. now in C:\Program Files\VDMSound\ it does work. I did everything the same.

Maybe it just doesn't like the E: drive letter?

That's supposed to be 'default path' btw. Made a misspell.

People have it installed on drives other than C, heh...

Yes, it’s my fault.
