I would search Saitek or Thrustmaster analogue joysticks for Wing Commander Privateer in MS-DOS.

I tried Gravis Blackhawk and Gravis Firebird 2 in Wing Commander Privateer. These joysticks work not accurate while aiming. Accuracy works the same in center and in corner.

Thrustmaster Top Gun and Saiteck X7-38 shows different type of work, their accuracy is better in center and less in corners, so it's very good for aiming in flight. I definately recommend them.
