Thank you. Its quite expensive, will end up costing close to $70 AUD delivered just for one of them.

It looks like its aluminum heatsink so the one I linked up previously will do the job just as well I am sure and whilst there is no clip, thermal glue will keep it safely attached.

Thank you again for the input.

Thermal two sided tape will work. I have used Permatex Red hi-temp to secure a heatsink.
First you put a coat of thermal heatsink compound on the cpu except the 4 corners. Use a tooth pick and put 4 tiny spots of the Permatex, one at each corner.
Attach Heatsink starting at one side with it tilted up to align it, slowly lower and push firmly, do not drag it if possible, a slight twist is ok. Careful not to bump it for at least a few hours.
works well for 486 and low end pentiums if you have no clips....

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

If you search pictures of dx4 100 cpu's you'll see they don't need much in the way of a heatsink, but always had a fan attached.
So yeh, thermal tape and a generic heatsink will be enough, but I'd be mounting a fan on top as well, although again if you look at the pics the fan was nothing special.

Mine came with a small anodized aluminium heatsink and a little fan back in 1994. The heatsink is the size of the cpu but the fins are not very high.

The fan stopped once, I only saw it when I opened the case; it was running fine with the fan adding another watt or so trying to turn. I replaced it, the next one also wore out since.

Currently running without a fan, same heatsink. It is hot to the touch, but it does not burn, can keep finger on it for a while. I plan to equip it with a fan soon for peace of mind, as soon as I can source one that works.
