Little bit of a bump and update:
I've got most of the parts together for this build now, but I'm still having a few issues (mostly finding a case that will fit the giant motherboard, but I think I have that covered finally).

The P3 500s I have both came with these enormous passive heatsinks that are obviously not compatible with the plastic retention arms on the motherboard. Is there a specific active cooler I need to get?
I had read something about SECC vs SECC II and I'm wondering if this board only supports the former. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Short answer? Not likely. The last time I saw loose slot-2 heatsinks on ePay, i bought them all, and that was pre-covid.

you can fabricate your own
you can modify the ones you have to fit.

If i was in your position I would go with #3 for the time being.

These are Slot 1 CPUs, I've ditched the Slot 2 idea entirely.

There is no specific active coolers for slot one. The mounting frame is identical between secc 1 and 2. its just clearance between CPUs you need to worry about. SECC 1 had options for big passive heatsinks to mount to the motherboard, but it was completely ignored by non-OEM board makers.

Where did he announce the relaunch ?

The link specifies an FSB of 133 + Pentium II Xeon (Drake) support, but that is 100 MHz FSB only. Does anyone have the manual please?
