When i was looking for drivers, by pure accident, i stumbled into an official Trio3D/2x driver with OpenGL support.
The driver looks official, so its from S3 itself, and its for Windows NT4.0
I found no discussions or other informations about this driver at all.
The driver might only supports OpenGL, and no D3D support whatsoever.

How it happened? As i was searching for xp drivers for the Trio3D/2x because the last beta driver is crappy, i accidentally downloaded a driver which was not an XP driver, but an NT4 driver. When i opened it, i have found file dates from 1998 october and november. Googling the trio3D and trio3D 2x says the cards are from 1999 but this driver seems to be from 1998.

The file name S3VOGL.DL_ gave it away, and the inf file confirms its an opengl icd.

I havent tested the driver. I attach it to this message, so anyone can found it who is interested in it.

Similar Engineering Release

Please note that, the code name of LC2X is officially changed to
TRIO3D/2X.

Some of the chip set may still carry the "LC2X" mark and the
software driver and utilities may also carry the name "LC2X".

There is no functional difference between Trio3D/2X and LC2X.

for LC2X. Built on 10/02/98.

A year ago I accidentally found a similar topic on phantom.sannata.org (kinda Russian VOGONS). Maybe you will find it interesting.
