I'm currently putting together a dual PPro build running Windows NT 4.0. I have ZERO experience with this operating system or any earlier version of NT. For storage, I have a Adaptec AAA-131 and a SCSI HDD. It's a single drive and NOT in any RAID configuration, The AAA-131 is just an SCSI controller card I have available. I previously used this card and HDD to mess around and was able to install DOS without issue, however, when I attempted to install NT 4.0 it could not see the HDD and asked for a driver disk. My initial thought is that this would be no problem since Adaptec devices seem to be widely supported. Unfortunately, I have had no luck finding an NT driver for this particular card and when I do find anything it's a dead link. Are my Google skills that bad? Does the card go by a different name? what am I missing here?

Can anyone direct me to some NT 4.0 drivers for this card or does anyone have a suggestion for a different SCSI controller card that perhaps has built in NT support. I'm sure I have a few older Adpatec SCSI cards kicking around somewhere.

the microsemi site has a recent issue with the drivers giving a 404 due to some website bs.

changing the .htm into .php fixes it.

I guess this is the card ? https://storage.microsemi.com/en-us/downloads … dn=aaa-131.html

and this should be a link to the first package on that page https://storage.microsemi.com/en-us/speed/rai … aafms22_exe.php

Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.

Thanks, Thats the correct card, unfortunately, I can get as far as the actual file download but just get a 404 error when I try to download, either from the sire or the alternate link. tried adding .PHP but nothing.

I did a scrape of the Adaptec webpage back in september 2024. Back then the file was available. I'm wondering if Microsemi now have nuked their whole library.

Must be an error in some way, as their current products are giving 404 error as well, like this Win11 driver posted in December 2024

It seems that anything that links to download.adaptec.com isn't working
