I can't say for sure if it was always like this on my now not-so-new RTX 2080, but some last years it's definitely became an annoying issue.

Anytime there's 4:3 video (in youtube/twitter/netflix/whatever) - switching to fullscreen or back causes almost instant lockup, and the video driver is restarted after crash. After that it goes playing ok until any kind of gui pops up (rewind bar, sound volume widget, etc), and there's a good chance it will lock up and restart again.
Otherwise it's rock solid, running games lite or heavy for hours, 4k videos or 120p videos - no hints of any kinds of instabilities at all, it's limited exclusively to the aspect ratio of the video to be played fullscreen. It's only when the video is 4:3 or close to it, or maybe sufficiently far from the 16:9 of the 4k monitor.
Googling through Nvidia forums I see only general instability topics, dying hw or dreadful HAGS issues. Nothing in relation to the aspect ratio.
The issue is not limited to Google Chrome browser, but also triggered in Microsoft Edge, though seemingly less likely. Updating drivers through many versions over the course of years didn't resolve it.

Had anyone experienced similar problems?
