Hello!
Can I ask for help in setting up DgVoodoo2 for one specific game? I found an old Chinese RPG, but I can't set it up to work properly under Windows 10 🙁
The screen is either completely black or flickers.
If it's not too much trouble, please help!

The copy you linked came with a preconfigured copy of ddrawcompat. It worked fine on my end after running detectvga.exe and then mapset2.exe. Dgv is not needed.

Yes, I put ddrawcompat there myself. And it works. But with one problem, when trying to close the game with the "exit" button, the game freezes. There is definitely no such problem with DgVoodoo2.

Okay...
Is that important? You can just use task manager.

Yes, it is possible. But I am afraid that this may be just the tip of the iceberg of problems. And I would like to make the most well-functioning repack

That is because of a bug in dgVoodoo, it will be fixed in the next version.

I released a tiny WIP build, ddraw.dll included, to test:

Yes 😀 This problem is gone! Thank you very much. But can I bother you a little more?
The thing is that in the game with dgVoodoo2 the cursor is doubled. With the help of the parameter SystemHookFlags = cursor you can solve this problem, but in this case the original cursor icon disappears.

They helped me break the game exe a little and now the intro video works 😀 But it does not scale to the whole screen with dgVoodoo2 🙁
Here is a link to the game with a working video, please take a look, is it possible to fix this somehow.

The cursor problem is kind of known, I ran into it with other games too.

The video playback works with default dgVoodoo config: no resolution forcing and "unspecified" scaling mode.
That's the only way to keep the window size 640x480 which is expected the video player (which does not use DDraw for the playback btw).
It's not a thing that I can easily "fix".
