Anybody has PowerDVD 6.6 BD / PowerDVD 6.5 HD-DVD version or where it is possible to buy one of those?

PoweDVD 6.x should support even Windows 98 SE. There is also H264 pack add-on for PowerDVD 6 version.

PowerDVD 6.5/6.6: Uses PowerDVD 6 kernel.
Both of these two versions are for OEM.
PowerDVD 6.5: For HDDVD.
PowerDVD 6.6: For Blu-ray disc.

Early HD-DVD/Bluray ide drives could come with 6.5 and 6.6, also first 1080p h264 supported videocards, like ATi X1950 and Nvidia 6600GT.
Somebody should have those old CD-s with PowerDVD 6.6 or 6.5 available i think. I have PowerDVD 7 and thats no good for Windows 98 SE. 😀

Hi, I'm afraid old versions of BD players aren’t most useful.
They can't play recent BDs, due to lack of certificates etc.
That was at least my experience with Power DVD 8 a while ago.

To make things worse, current PCs can't play UHD BDs anymore,
because the intel CPUs supported by latest Power DVD have dropped an decryption feature.
The only alternative seems to be to convert the files with an unlocked BD drive and use a regular media player software.

Or to just use a dedicated UHD BD player, an region-free model ideally.

Speaking under correction, though. I'm nolonger up-to-date, I'm afraid. 😅

Edit: I think those 6.6 special editions weren't sold, but bundled with BD-ROM drives in mid-late 2000s.

Edit: That being said, I had bought the box version of Power DVD 6 Deluxe in mid-2000s, because I liked it and the many features (DVvD Audio, de-interleacing, DirectShow support, MMX/3DNow/SSEx etc support).
The player was fine, much better code base than what came with V8. IMHO.

I would like to get one of those old BD and HD-DVD CD, i am sure they work with available PowerDVD code that they came with or where is this Cyberlink h264 add-on? I can see PowerDVD 6 and i can by even it, but where is the add-on? With those BD/HDDVD editions h264 was included.

I think they came with vidoecard purchases also.
