Greetings.
Do You have some extremely rare HW or whole super-rare computer?
For example something like 8" FDD,2.8MB FDD(including some rare media for rare drives too),an 80186/188 computer,a rare expansion card,or any other really rare HW,like a RIMM RAM module,or a tape from a 1960s/1970s mainframe computer,or so?
If yes, share Your most rare HW here...
...or also share Your dreams, what of the most rare HW You are dreaming about?

Here 😀

I guess, none of the original mainframe computers was preserved for museum purposes, only fragments of their HW,am I right?
The biggest fragment,I had seen of them, was a tape drive from 1 of them,some1 tried to sell it on Aukro.cz for 8'000 CZK.

Is a RIMM really that rare?

I have 2x128MB in my s478 Willamette.

Although, I do not know if I will be able to easily source another two to replace the two CRIMMs.

Perhaps the two CRIMMs are rarer than the RIMMs…

Most of the RAMBUS systems that were sold came with at least 1 CRIMM.
Hard to find them on their own because theyre always in the boards that need them because its so hard to find the RIMMs to replace them with.

RIMMs were very expensive and came in a time of transition.

DIMMs must outnumber RIMMs 7 to 1. Soo yeah rare, especially in the higher capacities. 64 and 128 were common.

I've got a Multitech MPF-PC 552. An IBM xt clone. I know at least one other exists or existed in Italy but never any other. It has a 10MB Shugart branded hard disk. I think it's pretty rare.

Does a K6-3 without the plus count as rare? Or a 8MHz 286 cpu that's just a little thicker than a post stamp? The 486 DX50 perhaps?

Stuck at 10MHz...

Probably my Northstar Dimension. Or maybe Vesta OEM-188 aka Radio Electronics Magazine robot brain (80188). Or maybe AMT AT Jr. Also has a Sony v20 clone. Mine doesn't say 'ATjr' on the outside (this one was made after IBM made them change it to AMTjr). But bios screen still says 'ATjr'. When it worked.

Why is it so rare? I remember the Multitech name.

I have a MoBo with RIMM slots & cannot find affordable RIMM modules for this comp.
Do U have some spare modules to allow me to fix RIMMer(i decided to give this PC this name,if I ever get it alive again)?
Quite rare,I meet 1ce in my life with a MoBo with RIMM slots & never found a module for it.
Sure,CRIMMs r more rare,I c this 1st time being in IT for 25 years.
But for me even "standard" RIMM is critically rare.
